Welcome to My Art Gallery – Now with More Cats, ‘80s Music, and Halloween

I make art. A lot of it. Not because I’m some tortured genius (though my cats seem to think I am), but because I have no choice. Art has lived in my bones for 59 years, and I’ve stopped trying to evict it. Some people do yoga, some collect rare teaspoons—I draw and paint. It brings me a quiet kind of peace I can’t find anywhere else, except maybe when one of my rescue cats decides I’m worthy of being used as a pillow.

I believe art should be affordable, because everyone deserves a little beauty in their life. Like our favorite memories, art is personal—it tells its own story, and no two people will see it the same way. The way I feel while creating is not the way you feel when you see it. That’s the magic of it.

In my years, I’ve watched art trends rise, fall, and vanish into the void (RIP bedazzled jean jackets… though I still secretly love them). My best advice? Ignore trends. If you’ve never bought art before, go with your gut. Read about the artist. Most of us will gladly ramble on about why we do this, how it runs in our blood, how it brings us joy.

And here’s the truth: I create because I have to. Because the world is loud, and art lets me carve out a quiet corner in it. Because I love stories, and every piece I make is waiting to become part of yours. Right now, I’m working on expanding my Halloween art (because honestly, why should spooky season be limited to one month?), so if you love pumpkins, ghosts, and a little bit of mischief, you’re in the right place.

Also, if you’re into ‘80s music, you’ll feel right at home here—my Instagram is basically a neon-lit time machine with a paintbrush.

So, welcome! Look around, take your time. And if a piece speaks to you? Listen. (Art is very wise, unlike me before my morning tea.)
